On September 7, 2024, the volunteer members of Park County Search & Rescue hosted their first community open house event. Residents and visitors of Park County were given an opportunity to tour the PCSAR facility, watch equipment and safety demonstrations, and chat with volunteers about recent missions. Our climbing wall was also open to kids and assisted by PCSAR volunteers. We’re already planning our next Open House event for September 6, 2025!

Outlaw Trail Hike

"Members of the Park County Search & Rescue logged a few miles with some Livingston Elementary students on the Outlaw Trail system north of Cody. Four of our volunteers tagged along and gave short talks on subjects such as hypothermia, preparedness, and what Search and Rescue does for the community while the kids ate lunch. What a fun day!"

"Recently, the Primary Children's Auxiliary from the LDS Church 4th Ward visited the Search & Rescue Hall for some climbing exercises with SAR members. The climbing wall itself was constructed by PCSAR members using metal framing, plywood and climbing holds. The kids had a great time as did we. Thanks for coming!!!"
